KA Letts
K.A. Letts is a working artist http://kalettsart.com and art blogger http://rustbeltarts.com. A graduate of Barnard College (BA History) and Yale Drama School (MFA Set and Costume Design), Letts brings an unusual skill set to her richly detailed and strongly narrative drawings and paintings.
“My work looks both forward and back in time. I employ techniques and strategies from painting's history to describe the present Anthropocene age and to imagine the trans-human future, where all of nature is touched by humans and all humans are touched by technology.”
She has shown her work regionally and nationally and in 2015 won the Toledo Federation of Art Societies Purchase Award while participating in the TAAE95 Exhibit at the Toledo Museum of Art. She is currently preparing for 2 solo shows, at River House Arts in Toledo (Spring 2017) and at Firecat Projects in Chicago (Winter 2017) She won “Best In Show” prize at last year’s Inspiration Corporation event.
